Does it text or email my clients?
Not yet, and if you want it, ask: a feature a customer asks for gets built, and it is free. Emails to your clients would cost you nothing. Text messages would be a small package, because the SMS providers charge for every message sent, not us. Today TendMate keeps the schedule and the records, and you message your clients the way you already do. For somebody who asked for a price it keeps the message you sent and what they replied.
Can my clients book online?
Not yet. Your work is the same clients coming round again and again, so the calendar fills itself in from how often each one is due, and a new enquiry is written down as a lead with the day to come back to them. If your clients want to book themselves, say so: a calendar you share with your free days, where a client picks one, is the kind of thing we build for the person who asks, at no extra cost. We will work out together what suits your business best.
What does a helper see?
The schedule, the addresses and the notes for the work she is sent to, on her own phone. Not your prices, your expenses or your totals. You choose, screen by screen, what each helper can open.
What if I have more than four helpers?
Contact us. Extra seats are $1 a month each, and we add them for you. Tell us how you run them too: if you want them in teams, or there is something that would make managing them easier, that is exactly the kind of thing we build for you, free.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. Everything you need is on the phone already, and it catches up when you are back in range.
I already have a spreadsheet, or another app. What happens to it?
Send it to us: a spreadsheet, a CSV, an export from another app, or a photo of your paper diary. We bring your clients, your schedule and your history across before you log in, and that is included in the price.

Nearly every notebook we have seen has the same flaw: it holds the next session. That works until one owner pushes a week, one dog goes from weekly to fortnightly once the recall is solid, and one family only books before the holidays. Now every date after that is wrong, and the only way to fix it is to scroll back through the chat.
In TendMate
The fix is small and it changes everything: record the last session, not the next one. The last session is a fact — it either happened or it did not. The next one is arithmetic:
Next due = Last session + Frequency (in days)
Weekly = 7 · Fortnightly = 14 · Monthly = 28 · Only when booked = no interval
Push a session, take a week off, change one dog's cadence — you only ever update one thing, and every date after it corrects itself. That is the whole trick, and it is what TendMate is built around.

One clock per dog, not per owner
A household with two dogs on two cadences is the ordinary customer. Each dog carries its own frequency and its own last session, so the shepherd and the puppy come due on their own days and the calendar places both.
The safety flag is on the row
Reactive to dogs, nervous, resource guarder, bite history — it is a choice on the dog, not a line buried in the notes, and it shows on the day's list before anybody opens the gate. Vaccination date, breed, age and goals sit beside it.

$9/month covers you and up to four helpers. More helpers are $1 a month each. No cap on owners or sessions. A helper sees the schedule — the dog, the flag, the focus, the homework to send home — and not what you charge for it.
A package paid in two halves
Every session carries the price and what has been paid so far, so a programme settled half up front and half at the end reads as a deposit and a balance rather than as a mystery. Statements per owner and your expenses are there too.
